A
native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dr. Hayes moved to Atlanta in 1968 to attend Emory College, then graduated from the Emory
University School of Dentistry in 1975. After serving two years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, he returned
to Decatur, Georgia, where he pursued the solo practice of dentistry until May, 2007, when he joined forces with Dr. Chartier,
and relocated his office to her Clairmont Road site.
From the beginning of his practice, Dr. Hayes has been committed
to providing exceptional care for his family of patients. He has also given of his time to serve the dental
needs of the underprivileged, both locally and in third world countries. Always striving to remain
abreast of current dental knowledge and technologies, Dr. Hayes has eagerly pursued continuing education via seminars, workshops,
and multiple professional study clubs to which he belongs, and has helped to direct.

Community Involvement:
Member of Northlake church of Christ since 1968. Member of Board
of Directors of Decatur Christian Towers and Gwinnett Christian Terrace since 1978. Supporter
of PREDISAN, which provides healthcare and ministry to the people of Honduras. Supporting
member of the Georgia Aquarium. Supporting member of Zoo Atlanta.
Supporter of Georgia AGAPE, provider of adoption/foster care services. Dr. Hayes is married to Cindy Ehrhart Hayes,
RN, a nurse at DeKalb Medical Center. They have three children, Zach, Britany, and Casey.
